Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is a 1982 play set in Chicago in the 20’s. It deals with c issues of race, religion and the historic exploitation of black recording artists by white producers.

Directors are currently looking for African American extras aged 18+ for a fun scene. Ma Rainey is set in the 20s so they are looking for classic natural looks – no extensions or weaves. Natural eye lashes, no fake nails, no ear gauges or facial piercings, no visible tattoos.
